Funded by the Chicago Community Trust, this site for REST, a comprehensive homeless services agency, accommodates present and future needs in a visual storytelling style illustrated by a custom photo essay. The updated look, content and REST’s branding are consistent with strategic communications goals. Provides clean functionality, email subscription, newsletters, press releases, links to social networks and JustGive.com for donations. The artistic layout (not Web 2.0) optimized for most screen resolutions and is driven by a custom Content Management System (CMS).

Showcasing their craftsmanship, the navigation accesses sections for photographers, talent and events. Clients come to jsphotoservice.com to view and select the images they want to buy. Expensive backend software was replaced by modestly priced off-the-shelf-software customized to client specifications, with some CMS capabilities, saving almost $5,000/year.
